There is one sad bit of news with the nearing release of Mists of Pandaria -- namely, we won't be seeing any fresh Fear on Loathing in Pandaria, like this newest episode focusing on The Dread Wastes. Regardless whether he's near or far, the good Baron's machinima will live on.
The video for the Dread Wastes is obviously a little moodier than previous editions. Whether or not Baron Soosdon has truly captured the feel of the zone is up to you, but this is certainly one hell of a video. Take the time to check it out and enjoy your favorite beverage. I find IPAs pair well with this one. Interested in the wide world of machinima? We have new movies every weekday here on WoW Moviewatch! Have suggestions for machinima we ought to feature? Baron Soosdon's Fear & Loathing in Pandaria series does two things. First, it shows off the good Baron's amazing machinima chops. His masterful ability to put together beautiful, moving imagery coupled with striking music is unparalleled. Second, it shows off Blizzard's own artistry. Just kick back with a frothy beverage an enjoy this preview of Townlong Steppes; you won't be sorry. Since you'll be helping the Shado-Pan, fighting the mogu, and otherwise doing the do in the zone, this gorgeous video will give a good idea of what to expect. You know what today is a good day for? Eye candy. And when you want eye candy, you know who you go to: the good Baron Soosdon. The Baron is the undisputed master of turning WoW's graphics into a delightful mash of "What the hell am I watching?"
He's tackling The Wandering Isle in the latest installment of his Fear and Loathing in Pandaria series. But don't worry, we can't stop here -- this is panda country! The architecture and basic design of RFC is pretty much the same. You won't walk into it and spontaneously not know your way around. However, the old mobs have been replaced with a shiny new array of critters -- lava worms, orcs, and all the other little hallmarks of a brand new experience. We'll probably still get burned out on the place after a while, but RFC will certainly feel new-ish to most of us. Interested in the wide world of machinima? Of course, the in-game version of SM won't look exactly like this, thanks to the animation magic Soosdon lays over the video. Still, this is the most exciting trailer for the new dungeon I've seen so far. Also, the gnome? Awesome. Interested in the wide world of machinima?
