Breakfast Topic: Happy Festivus from WoW Insider

Festivus is a secular holiday celebrated on Dec. 23 as a way to celebrate the holiday season without participating in its pressures and commercialism. It was created by writer Dan O'Keefe and introduced into popular culture by his son Daniel, a screenwriter for the TV show Seinfeld, as part of a comical storyline on the show. The holiday's celebration, as shown on Seinfeld, includes an unadorned aluminum "Festivus pole," practices such as the "Airing of Grievances" and "Feats of Strength," and the labeling of easily explainable events as "Festivus miracles." -- Wikipedia, retrieved Dec. 22, 2011

Now, I'm not one for doing an Airing of Grievances in public; that'll be done tonight around the Festivus pole. But I do think we can talk about Feats of Strengths -- after all, there have been some pretty awesome ones that've come up in WoW in recent years.

I think perhaps the best Feat of Strength of all time goes to Insane in the Membrane, because if you get that, then you're really probably nuts and could find yourself dancing around the Festivus Pole (or you're really awesome and I'm just jealous).

A close runner-up is the Scarab Lord Feat of Strength. The mount is amazing, and the title that goes along with it has to be one of the most unique things you can have in all of WoW. And since one a handful of people have this, most of us will just have to settle for the Why? Because It's Red Feat of Strength.

Happy Festivus from WoW Insider! What of your Feats of Strength are you most proud of?

Five WoW movies to help get your Festivus on

Merry Christmas World of Warcraft players! No matter what you celebrate, whether it's Festivus for the Rest of Us or full blown Christmas cheer, you can appreciate some quality holiday movies this season.

Let's take a look at five festive holiday machinima productions over the past few years.

Of course it needs to be stipulated that there are no Gnomes or Paladins in these movies, since they're godless heathens. (Insert /sarcasm here). But for the rest of us these movies will delight and titillate our holiday spirits.

Take a look after the break for our five holiday machinimas you won't want to miss! And don't forget to check out of coverage of the Feast of Winter's Veil if you're looking for something to do between all the holiday fun times.
