AFK Players have returned with a sequel to Quest Busters. It's hard to find the words to properly describe Quest Busters Episode 2 - Those Bears Up There. With mindblowingly good animation, astounding flow, and a hilariously engaging script, this machinima will easily be one of the best WoW videos of the year.
Don't let yourself miss out on the astounding appearance of Thor Ultralisk of Void Ray EX. It is one and a half minutes of pure joy, all wrapped up in a clever parody song. Of course, Thor Ultralisk isn't the only in-joke in the video, but you can spot plenty of your own.
Thanks to the AFK Players for an unbelievably good video. Here's hoping you find a tree of your own, one day in the near future. Interested in the wide world of machinima? One sentence makes Warcraft Club a complete win. "I've got you doing dailies for the rest of your natural born life if you don't watch your step." I don't know why it took us this long to get that line in a machinima, but it's here now.
Wowmartiean created these videos for epicpodcast.com and their 24-hour live charity stream. While the videos are a tiny bit rough, they were clearly created for love of learning and on behalf of child's play charities. You have to appreciate anyone who'll take a big bite out of a new skill on behalf of a good cause. My hat's off to you. Interested in the wide world of machinima? Wowcrendor delves into the conscious minds of NPCs with What Are NPC's Thinking 2. I think he was pretty accurate, even if I did feel super bad for the fish on the wall. ("I am... still... alive.") Wowcrendor always does an amazing job of pointing out odd little quirks in the game, like the chaps who's not quite fishing in the water. I laughed out loud. Slightly Impressive returns with TV in Azeroth 2, bringing with him a handful of amusing parodies and pointed jabs at pop culture. Some of the jokes went a little over my head, but others knocked it out of the park. Maybe that's the best thing about this kind of format: you get to do a huge variety of things.
In the Arms of the Naaru, you guys. Seriously, if for no other reason, you must watch this video to get a listen to In the Arms of the Naaru. I was not adequately prepared and I instantly spit my coffee out across the table. That's an inspired parody, right there. Interested in the wide world of machinima? Thanks to Caliswow for suggesting Truth About Murloc. It's been a while since I've revisited Darkpippi's Kermit-perfect parody and relaxed to the dulcet tones of a ravenous murloc. It's hard to go from the chill lyrics of Truth About Rainbows to the inevitable consumption of all life by Murlocs, but Darkpippi has managed that feat very well. This is a song for the ages. Here's another incredible video from Fifth Element. This time riffing on Fallout, the 2 minute intro features all the nostalgic awesome you could possibly want. I'm continually impressed by how these guys manage to kick out these amazing videos, one after another.
This video features a special treat. If you keep an eye on the wall posters, you can spot a shout out to this article by Brian Wood. So, Fifth Element may agree that, "Yes, beast mastery can raid." If you walked up and said, "Gray, we've got this Nickelback parody..." I'd probably just turn and run away. I'm not judging or anything, but Nickelback isn't really my thing. I can't imagine how you'd do a good Nickelback WoW parody.
And then I saw MMO. With real-to-the-band vocals, that one riff the band does so well, and a real sense of poetry, MMO is actually pretty good. It's leagues better than the original song, which was always a little uncomfortable. But MMO does a good job of that WoW Widow thing without making the widow out to be the bad guy. The song's a little old, but it's still worth a listen. Interested in the wide world of machinima? We have new movies every weekday here on WoW Moviewatch! Cowboy Astalder serves as a guild recruitment video, wrapping its alluring message in a smooth parody of Cowboy Bebop. Even if that show isn't your thing, you should still be able to enjoy the hip animation, clever use of color, and entertaining music.
I'm not sure the guild is still recruiting, since this video is a few years old. But since a good video can last forever, a few years late isn't too late to enjoy this awesome piece of work. Nice job, Adorias! Interested in the wide world of machinima? We have new movies every weekday here on WoW Moviewatch! Have suggestions for machinima we ought to feature? I'm not sure what I just watched. It started off like a beautiful children's book, filled with exploration and wonder and even a cute little frog. Then the music kept winding up and things started getting kind of weird. Then, all of a sudden, frogs were overwhelming the world and they were all friends and it felt like frogs were taking over the world.
The animation is decent, even if it has some telltale black line where the models were being lay over top one another. Certainly, it matched the subject matter. While I'm not sure Tell Me A Story would be my go-to video about hallucinogenic drugs, but it'd be pretty close to the top. Interested in the wide world of machinima? I can never tell if you folks are pranking me or not. This weekend, I received 4 emails telling me about this hot new video. Oh well. I guess if it's just a prank on me, then perhaps it has become a prank on you. Happy April Fools' Day! Here's another run of BLIND, since you've never ever heard of it. For whatever reason, there aren't many machinima videos about Easter. Rabbit Stew stands alone as a rare celebration of the Spring holiday. If you feel like following suit, don't worry: scrawling PWNT across an egg isn't that much work. Do it with a Sharpie. Interested in the wide world of machinima? It looks like Fifth Element laid low the boss known as Tortos, and they've created another astounding video to celebrate. Their machinima continues to be as amazing as ever. And while I could go on and on about how much I loved this video, I think I'll just quote Anne Stickney:
This is EVERYTHING I EVER WANTED TO SEE OUT OF A TORTOS KILL VID

The Hearthstone Heroes of Warcraft Sneak Preview is pretty much what you'd expect from a Wowcrendor video, though I admit I was actually expecting something a little more previewish than this. Title confusion aside, though, this is exactly what I wanted from the master of mirth, Wowcrendor: an analysis of reactions to the upcoming digital card game.
I kind of do hope we get a Standing In Fire card. It just feels right. But given the breadth of cards in the physical versions, Hearthstone will likely have plenty of options for everyone. Just be careful what you say about it now, so that those words don't come back to haunt you. Interested in the wide world of machinima? We have new movies every weekday here on WoW Moviewatch! Work Warning: I don't know what this genre is called. But it loud, growling, and mostly screaming. Not much cursing though, not that you can make out the words.
I'll have to do this in two parts. Video first. The music video serves the music fairly well, I guess. The animation is fine, the scenes are fine, and it's all blended together just dandy. While it drags on a little long, and I might have tried to cram in a story, the music video does its just just fine.
The music though. I literally had to Google it to be certain I wasn't getting trolled. I'm not even sure I'm not getting trolled right now. I honestly can't tell. So, I'll just say that this music isn't my cup of joe and maybe you shouldn't listen to this if you're already buzzed on caffeine. Interested in the wide world of machinima? The Stormwind City Theme Hip-Hop Version brings new, hip life to the old theme. It doesn't really scream hip hop to me, though. Perhaps something like techno, or industrial. But not really. I don't know, hip hop is as fine as anything else, I guess.
While I don't think the video is particularly mindblowing, it is a decent Titantron-esque rendering to watch while you listen to the music. I would have liked to see soldiers marching, or some other martial imagery, since even the remixed version has that military cadence. Ultimately, though, the music is satisfying and worth a listen.
