Patch 3.3.3 PTR: Jepetto Joybuzz is feeling blue

I love Jepetto Joybuzz. He doesn't sell anything terribly useful, just silly ol' toys that you can goof around with. Dolls to place in creepy locations, trains to piss off your raid, paper airplanes, that whole deal. I love when he gets new toys on the PTR, so his latest additions made my heart soar. His new offerings are: Are you noticing a trend? None of these toys are 100% new, they're azure (because I said blue too many times) recolors of previous toys. Toys that are inaccessible now. The green ragdoll is still around, but the Rocket Bot and the Racer Controller are both re-released toys that were only available during Winters Veil in 2007 and 2008. Players that acquired them the year they were released get to keep their Feats of Strength, but now everyone can join in on the fun and play with them. It's probably strange that I'm so excited about these, but come on. They're toys! Toys within a bigger toy, even!

Breakfast Topic: What's the First thing you did when you got to Dalaran?

LOOK OUT IT'S RIGHT BEHIND YOU!
So Alex's latest Know Your Lore on Dalaran got me thinking. Now, some part of me is still sort of annoyed that Rhonin was made archmage and the Horde got to enter Dalaran with nary a peep about their tendency to kill all those citizens of Dalaran in Alterac or Silverpine, but I have to admit, Dalaran is an amazing city.

Everywhere you turn, there's something interesting going on, and every shop has its own life. The Architecture is an amazing blend of human and elven styles that looks to have organically evolved from a rich magical culture, and the atmosphere is lively without descending into the constant laughing and lag inducing sparring of the Aldor and the Shattered Sun Offensive that plagued Shattrath's outer ring. It also feels livelier and more city-like than Shattrath's strangely alien fortress and adjoining shanty town.

Jepetto Joybuzz and the Dalaran toy store

Dalaran's local toymaker, Jepetto Joybuzz, has added some new items to his stock in the last few beta patches. Each one just as overpriced as the last! His items have no real use as far as combat and stats and that sort of thing, they're just for fun. They're toys! What did you expect? Let's take a look at what he has to offer.
  • Grindgear Toy Gorilla - This one-use summoned pet will cost you 45 silver. It emulates Egbert from Children's Week, running all over the place like his butt is aflame. He only lasts 20 seconds, then disappears. It almost feels like that's a bug, that the item should disappear because you learned it like other pets, but it doesn't seem like that's the case. The item specifically lists a cooldown, and you can buy multiples. They stack.
  • Trusty Copper Racer - For 30 silver, you can buy this race car that looks like the goblin podracer in the Shimmering Flats. It travels 20 yards, then... disappears. With the item. Hm. This one is kind of lame.
