The question of our own mortality is one of the defining conundrums of our existence. How do we sum up our lives? In our final moments in this mortal shell, what are the important thoughts and feelings that will play back in our head?

In this beautiful video, Bonkey attempts to answer some of that. The title is simply Looking Back. As a man lies dying on his bed, we spend three minutes seeing through his eyes. Some of the scenes are joyful and comforting, while others are a little more haunting.

This is one of my favorite machinima pieces in a while. The narrative is not complex or overwhelming, but the final theme is strong and moving. Truly, my hat's off to Bonkey for Looking Back.
