WoW Moviewatch: Part of Your Guild

My heart will always belong to music and machinima, so any video that combines those things with vocal skill and humorous aplomb gets instant, huge brownie points. Created by World of Filkcraft, featuring Aquilae, Part of Your Guild presents the lament of a guild member who just needs the perfect guild.

Sure, we've featured it before, but this video has always stayed with me. Especially with the number of folks looking to graduate LFR into guilded raiding, Part of Your Guild still feels contemporary to me. Very well done!

WoW Moviewatch: Part of Your Guild

We first covered Part of Your Guild by World of Filkcraft about a year ago. The original Part of Your World came out about 23 years ago. While the parody doesn't have nearly that many miles under its tires yet, I still love this WoW-flavored remix.

Stuff like this is why World of Filkcraft remains some of my favorite creators. Their team loves the game, loves performing, and put some real musical chops behind their work. It's always great stuff, and it's always solid for a smile.

WoW Moviewatch: Part of Your Guild

This song and video were created by World of Filkcraft, featuring Aquilae. Part of Your Guild is the lament of a gamer who's ready to rock out in raids, but hasn't quite made it into the ideal guild yet. It's obviously a parody of Part of the World from The Little Mermaid. (Okay, perhaps not obviously; it occurs to me The Little Mermaid came out 22 years ago.)

The team at World of Filkcraft consistently blow me away. They focus on and master the musical aspect of their craft, creating some incredible songs that serve as both homage to the inspiration and to the game. I have nothing but love and respect for those folks.
