Patch 5.0.5 hotfixes for November 20

Patch 505 hotfixes for November 20
A new batch of hotfixes has hit the servers, and several issues with LFR have been tweaked and adjusted. Several encounters have also been adjusted for difficulty level, which should be a relief to LFR players. In addition, there have been a few tweaks to world bosses, and one mob in particular is no longer able to become an actual mob of creatures.
  • Alliance players, I'm sorry but Teng Applebloom has lost the secrets of cloning technology.
  • In the Heart of Fear, the Raid Finder version of Grand Empress Shek'zeer has been adjusted to be a more appropriate difficulty level. Amber-shaper Un'sok has also been tweaked.
  • The issue that sometimes caused Alani to despawn after being pulled with a Sky Crystal has been fixed.

Patch 5.0.5 hotfixes for November 12

Late last night the realms had a hotfix applied, yet another in a long line of patch 5.0.5 live changes. These changes do not fix the various things that can be modified only with a client side patch, and they're not indicative of patch 5.1 dropping (or not dropping) anytime soon.

Some of the highlights from these hotfixes:
  • Fixed an issue with the way that Glyph of Jab could interact with various weapons.
  • In the Raid Finder version of [the] encounter, Garalon's Fury ability will now stack 5 times with a 15 second duration, and Pungency now stacks 20 times.
  • In the Raid Finder version of [the] encounter, Garalon will not enter combat until a player enters one of the visible circles surrounding his body or legs, or performs a hostile action.
  • Highly Explosive Yaungol Oil no longer deals damage to hostile players.

Patch 5.0.5 hotfixes for November 1

Blizzard has released a batch of hotfixes that have been implemented between October 26 and (today) November 1. There are a handful of class and raid fixes that the assorted classes and raiders should pay attention to.

Some of the highlights include:
  • [Hunter] Stampede Pets summoned into the Arena, Rated Battlegrounds, and Wargames will now do the correct amount of damage.
  • Updated the Dungeon Finder matchmaking system to properly identify Monk classes and their available roles.
  • Jasper Chains now casts less frequently in both Normal and Heroic 10-player difficulty.
  • Fixed an issue in which Ashweb Weavers for the Golden Lotus dailies would sometimes evade.

Patch 5.0.5 hotfixes for October 25

Last night another round of hot fixes for patch 5.0.5 was deployed across all the realms. Notably in this round:
  • The amount of valor you get from doing everything except raid bosses was increased. Scenarios are included in this, so it should give some more incentive to run them.
  • Raid Finder iLevels are once again being calculated correctly.
  • Sra'vess Island elite mobs now are awarded as a kill to everyone fighting them.
Check out the patch 5.1 PTR patch notes to see the larger changes that are in store for the game soon. These hot fixes have been centering around more immediate quality of life and bug fixes than anything else, so it shouldn't be indicative of Blizzard not fixing some of the larger problems -- just that those larger issues need a full patch to be solved.

Everyone loves the hotfix gnome. He signals the arrival of more of the hottest of fixes, and has a fabulously pink beard. He's heated up yet another bunch of hotfixes for us all, and if you missed the last batch, check them out.

Today's hotfixes (that we believe have been active since the 19th, but have just been announce today) include:
  • Hunters can no longer carry battleground flags while stealthed with Camouflage
  • Players that have been defeated by the Headless Horseman can now use the Looking For Dungeon interface to return for another attempt.
  • Digging up a find while practicing Archaeology will now continue to grant skill points past 50.
  • Wyrmhorn Turtles are no longer quite so prolific. Poor things.
Hit the break for all the hotfixes! Wyrmhorn Turtles aren't quite so prolific there either.

Patch 5.0.5 hotfixes for October 1

Patch 505 hotfixes for October 1
Another round of hotfixes for patch 5.0.5 have arrived, and this time the post is massive. Among the list are a few things we already knew about, such as the changes being made to Justice and Valor point gear and reputation levels. But there are far, far more adjustments and tweaks that have been made to everything from classes to quest objectives.
  • Hunters, many beasts out in the world are now properly able to be tamed.
  • Paladins, Holy Wrath now deals 100% more damage.
  • Druids, the periodic damage of Thrash (Bear) now deals more damage -- 60%, to be precise.
  • Apparently captive breeding programs have brought the endangered Briny Clackers and Brineshell Snappers back to sustainable proportions. Who knew?
  • The incredibly stylish Umbrella of Chi-Ji has had its stats improved.

Patch 505 hotfixes for September 20
A new list of hotfixes has been released, posted by Kaivax on the official site. The list today includes a bug fix for Theramore's Fall and a whole host of class changes. However, I suspect the best of the list will be some long-awaited adjustments to the function of cross-realm zones.
  • Cross-realm zones will no longer brings together players over three time zones apart.
  • In addition, when Tol Barad and Wintergrasp commence, cross-realm zoning should be disabled for the duration of the battle, and resume after the battle has been decided.
  • And on top of all of that, cross-realm zones should no longer behave erratically when a party changes leader.

World of Warcraft patch 5.0.5 patch notes

Patch notes for patch 505
Now, don't get overexcited. This isn't for Mists proper, simply yesterday's patch applied during the maintenance period. It incorporates all of the recent class balance changes as well as some bug fixes for existing content.

For those of you who thought today's patch may bring the arrival of the Theramore scenario, I'm sorry, these patch notes seem to be bringing naught but disappointment. There's a bunch of fixes to spells, and I'm afraid that the time of being a holy paladin one-shotting people in lower level battlegrounds with Holy Shock is over, unless you can get your hands on a lot of spell power. There's also some fixes to things like the teleport bug in the Molten Front, and an amusingly worded fix to make the size of the Arcane Bomb during Queen Azshara's encounter more reasonable! Stop making your friends' spell effects so unreasonable, Azshara. It's unfitting for a woman of your stature.

Lastly, and almost certainly most importantly, Crithto is now attackable by both Alliance and Horde. The hunt for the cutest of Community Managers is on, people!

Head on over the break to see the full patch notes.
