Stormwind Harbor just fine in patch 5.4

Stormwind Harbor will be just fine in patch 54
Players may recall datamined spoiler images and videos from earlier this month, indicating a particularly disturbing fate was in store for the Stormwind Harbor in patch 5.4. The datamined information suggested that the Harbor and possibly more of Stormwind would be under direct attack from Horde forces and possibly ruined -- a low blow to the Alliance that are still diligently working on repairing the damage from Deathwing's attack in Cataclysm. But it's okay. You can breath a sigh of relief courtesy of Lead Quest Designer Dave Kosak, who clarified this information on Twitter earlier today.

Don't worry, citizens of Stormwind -- your city appears to be safe and sound. You're just looking at the optimistic visions of an overly enthusiastic megalomanical warlord bent on global domination and the onset of racial supremacy. That's ... comforting, right? Either way, you can look forward to punching Garrosh in the face in patch 5.4, ruining any and all plans, or dream boards, that Warchief Hellscream was constructing.

Patch 5.4 PTR: Thrall vs. Garrosh

Patch 54 PTR Thrall vs Garrosh
Orgrimmar is about to get wrecked, the Horde is in a state of political upheaval, the Alliance is on the brink of storming Stormwind's gates and Garrosh seems to be unstoppable, which leaves many players with one question: Just where the heck is Thrall in all of this, anyway? After all, the former Warchief is in at least some small part responsible for the current state of affairs, given his insistence on plopping Garrosh in place as the new Warchief of the Horde. And really, that fact cannot be argued with -- if Thrall had not appointed Garrosh as the new Warchief, none of the current events going on in Mists would have happened.

Thrall made a very brief appearance in the events in patch 5.3, showing up to help his old friend Vol'jin before heading off to Orgrimmar, presumably to confront Garrosh once and for all. Over on Youtube, Adriacraft has dug up the confrontation between old Warchief and new, with some unsurprisingly heated words thrown between the two of them. The video is after the break -- but be warned, if you've been wanting to avoid patch 5.4 spoilers, clicking through would be a bad idea.

Script guesswork compiled for patch 5.4

vale
As I'm certain many of you are aware of, these days there have been a whole lot of sound files datamined for the upcoming patch. We've featured a number of them, but one of the annoying things about datamined sound files is that they're only ever for one character at a time, so unless the mouthy NPC has decided to do an extended monologue, you don't get a chance to hear the proper conversation as it's designed to be heard.

Silencer, on the MMO-Champion message boards, decided to attempt to remedy that, and has compiled some scripts featuring a best guess of a few full conversations from a few of the sound files. In particular, there is a branch of the legendary quest featuring Wrathion and Lorewalker Cho, as well as a scene between Cho and Emperor Shaohao. There's no guarantee that any of these are 100% accurate, of course, but for the lore-interest inclined, these ideas are worth a look. As usual, all these links contain spoilers for upcoming content, so click at your own risk!

Patch 5.4 PTR: More sound file spoilers

Patch 54 PTR More spoilery sound files
Another day, another PTR build, another speedy set of spoileriffic sound files from our friends over at Adriacraft! Now, these are spoiler-heavy, as ever, so the usual warnings apply. If you don't want spoilers for patch 5.4, or beyond, then you would be best advised to leave the "read more" button the heck alone. You also shouldn't read the comments on the article, you shouldn't watch the video, and you certainly shouldn't head over to Adriacraft's YouTube channel for all the latest sound file updates!

Instead, enjoy this lovely picture of the Alliance shrine. I think the Alliance blue fits in to this color scheme far better than the Horde red, don't you?
