Patch 4.0.6 PTR notes updated for Jan. 12

Blizzard has released updated patch notes for patch 4.0.6, currently testing on the public test realms. Of note are the new guild group changes that award multipliers for guild experience gained, loads of new crafting tidbits, lots of new class changes, and a good amount of heroic dungeon nerfs and buffs to some bosses who felt like pushovers. Also, hunters: do you like to Auto-Shot while moving? If so, do we have some notes for you.

  • Many rare creatures that went into hiding upon Deathwing's emergence into Azeroth have made a return! In addition to finding new homes in a post-Cataclysm world, they drop new, improved loot, provide a healthy experience bonus, and respawn much more quickly when killed. Happy hunting!
  • Human Illusion: This affect is no longer applied to worgen who travel into the Caverns of Time.

Patch 3.1 PTR build 9637 Shaman changes

So, my fellow shamans, we come to yet another PTR build. What changes are in store for shamans? Well, if you're elemental or resto... not much as yet. What's in store is two changes for enhancement shamans.
  • Stormstrike now lasts 12 sec (Up from 10 sec), cooldown lowered to 8 sec (Down from 10 sec)
  • Unleashed Rage now properly increases the expertise by 3/6/9 instead of the agility.
The Stormstrike changes are just plain buffs: more time to use the debuff properly and less time waiting for it to cool down. The only concern will be in fitting it properly into a rotation with Lava Lash, which has a six second cooldown. Frankly, it won't be that big a deal, it's still better to have access to it quicker.

PTR 3.0.2 Patch Notes

Patch 3.0.2 will bring with it major changes to the way the game is played, all in preparation for Wrath of the Lich King. Mechanics for virtually all aspects of game-play will change somewhat, and all classes will get new talent trees and spells. The patch notes are long and extensive, and they're not even done.

The notes give a clear warning "The current patch notes are incomplete, but will be progressively more comprehensive in each patch." Things are not done. Indeed, these notes even go on to mention that Blizzard is still modifying and balancing the classes.

Read below after the break for the complete PTR 3.0.2 patch notes. Sit back with a drink and read over them all, it's going to be an interesting patch!

(Psst! Looking for the short version? Check out the TLDR version here.)
