The Daily Quest: Get me out of here

Today was spent at the DMV. The DMV is a magical sort of place that when entered, immediately makes you wish you were somewhere else. I'm not sure what it is exactly, but the first thought in my mind upon stepping into the DMV is "Anywhere but here. Please. Anywhere but here." That said, let's take a look at some posts around the blogosphere regarding the delightful practice of pretending to be somewhere and someone you aren't -- roleplaying:
- The Physician's Log talks about developing a character with no backstory.
- RP Made Simple discusses the fine art of finding an "in" in roleplaying situations.
- The Lazy Sniper has an excellent guide to getting started with roleplay.
- Too Many Annas discusses the development of potentially powerful character concepts.
