Drama Mamas: The mystery behind guildchat silence

Drama Mamas Lisa Poisso and Robin Torres are experienced gamers and real-life mamas -- and just as we don't want our precious babies to be the ones kicking and wailing on the floor of the checkout lane next to the candy, neither do we want you to become known as That Guy on your realm.

Silence. It can be relaxing. It can be peaceful. And it can be heavy with the lack of replies after you say something. Just what does silence in guildchat mean?
Dear Drama Mamas,

I recently joined a guild that's been working hard on DS. I've only been on a few raid nights (maybe three guild runs). But I've got serious mic shyness. So I literally hadn't said a word yet. Nor have I told anyone I'm that shy. The others kept on chatting, friendly and all, and I just kind of hung around, pew-pewing, etc. like I'm supposed to. I rarely said anything in guild chat either and was just doing my own thing and showing up when I was supposed to. Needless to say, I did get a little lonely. But I just couldn't get over my shyness. Or the fact that the all-guy raid team (as far as I can judge from voices on vent) was intimidating me, unintentionally of course. But I think it's a good guild, I hope we just have to warm up to each other.

The Call of Nyorloth: Your favorite Azerothian relationships

Nyorloth, the newest blue poster on the forums and a lore specialist, has already opened up the floor for lore discussion with a great topic for Love is in the Air. There are many types of relationships all over Azeroth, from romantic to bromantic, friendly to rivalrous. The question is which work the best?

I think my favorite relationship in Cataclysm was the father/son bonding and relationship building that went on between Eitrigg and his son Ariok. Eitrigg seems to want to bring his son along for the ride as he redeems his people and weeds out the bad blood amongst the Blackrock clan. Ariok is proud to serve under his father, and that relationship feels real, honest, and not forced. Just a father and son doing something together that they love -- subterfuge and war.

Head on over to the thread and help out Nyorloth with his first post on the lore forums. Another hearty welcome to Nyorloth!

WoW Moviewatch: Sisters - A Gnomes Tale

There's indisputably been a lot of music videos as part of the machinima scene lately. Wowcrendor recently even posted an anti-music-video music video recently. With their freshman effort being another song-based video, Epic Dream Entertainment replied to the issue by creating a more story-based video called Sisters - A Gnomes Tale.

Comparing this new video to Fat, Ugly and Flying would be difficult. Sisters - A Gnomes Tale is a short comedy video with an easy to understand premise and quick execution. Epic Dream is really showings its ability to go between multiple platforms, though, with crisp voice acting and a flair for scene execution. These are elements that weren't as prevalent in Fat, Ugly and Flying, and this kind of variety says good things about the creatores.

I thought the punchline was pretty funny, even if it's all at the expense of gnomes. I'm really liking the work put out by Epic Dream Entertainment, and I hope they keep pursuing machinima.
