Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mike Sacco will be your host today.

I finished BioShock Infinite last night and by golly was that a heck of an ending. Highly recommended. Rent it if you can't buy it.

John22 asked:

What is up with new pets dropping from old bosses (Karazan, SSC)? I'm not complaining, but could it be a sign of revamping to come? Heroic Kara? New area discovered? Those scary tombs?

Highly unlikely. Besides a few tweaks to make soloing or small-group play in those raids easier, no changes were made to the other old raids when they added pets to them. Not that I wouldn't love to do heroic Karazhan, mind you.

I love this video. What a vicious monster!

drorraz asked:

With the new raiding with leashes pets dropping from SSC bosses, do we get to enter that place solo or do we still have to group for that part?

You can enter any pre-MoP raid without needing a raid group. You've actually been able to for a while!

The Queue: Myotonic goats

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Anne Stickney (@Shadesogrey) prefers fainting to yelling when given a choice of goat.

Poor little mytonic goats. Contrary to their name, fainting goats don't really faint -- it's just their muscles spontaneously seizing up. Thankfully it doesn't hurt the little guys, but man. Nature is weird.

wowscard asked:

Q4tQ: Are Scenarios the new Dungeons? Seriously, Blizzard seems to be moving away from the 5-man Tank/Healer/3DPS dungeon model (they've stated no more 5-mans in MoP) and moving toward a more 3 of anything scenario model. They added scenarios with MoP as an additional feature, but with the move to now "Heroic" scenarios, it screams "replacement." Are the days of 5-man dungeons numbered?

It's funny you should ask, because I wrote a fairly in-depth piece about this yesterday.

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mike Sacco will be your host today.

Prepare to be ANNIHILATED!

Mikk asked:

With the new 5.3 pvp changes and the announcement that resilience will be removed from most items, has there been any indication of what they are going to do with pvp heirlooms? As a recent devote to pvp, I have been working on accumulating all the pvp heirlooms and I would hate to see all that work wasted ... Maybe they will replace the pvp resilience with pvp power on heirlooms? Any info appreciated.

The patch 5.3 PTR patch notes came out before a blog about the PVP changes could be published, so I imagine we'll be hearing a lot about what the changes mean for various types of gear soon (after PAX East).

The Queue: Hearthstone

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Anne Stickney (@Shadesogrey) has taken this thing over today.

I like to think those two cats are excitedly discussing anything relevant in the news. Today they are chatting about Hearthstone and whether or not they're going to sign up for the beta.

Adamndm_ asked:

Allow me to be the first to ask the obvious question we don't have a solid answer for yet: What is Hearthstone's release date?

We don't know, but supposedly it's soon -- not Blizzard Soon™, but actual soon!

EavenTheWarlock asked:

Q4tQ: Do you thing Hearthstone will eventually get an Android version? *tinfoil hat on* Or did they make a secret deal with apple to keep it exclusive?

They actually answered that question in their FAQ! Q: Are you supporting Android tablets? A: Hearthstone will launch on Windows, Macintosh, and, later on, iPad. We're looking into the possibility of supporting additional platforms in the future, but we don't have any further info to share at this time.

lucho_pinto asked:

I expect to see tomorrow's Q filled with Hearthstone questions that we don't know the answer to yet :D Kudos to whoever's tackling it tomorrow! I'll add my own question-that-probably-doesn't-have-an-answer-yet: Will this use/accept money from Diablo's RMAH? To buy boosters?

Let's get in a cab. I'll buy you a kebab!

stingjc asked:

Do I need to have completed any of the Black Prince quests to loot a sha-touched weapon? I still need to collect one more Sigil of Power to get the gem, but Spiritsever hasn't dropped for me yet after ten rolls. Is my RNG really that bad, or do I need to finish The Strength of One's Foes?

Nope, I haven't completed The Strength of One's Foes on my DK and just yesterday got a Shin'ka from the Sha of Fear. You just have rotten luck!

The Queue: Give us more draenei

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Matthew Rossi will be your host today.

We're just going for the questions today.

dashric asks:

Where are all the Draenei in the Kirin Tor Offensive Base camp. You'd think that in the time since wrath there'd be a few Draenei who are attuned with crystal energies in the kirin tor; or at the very least a commoner sitting around like the Dwarf, gnome, and Human.

There's an in-game reason, which is that for a while now the draenei have been trying to decide whether or not they should even stay on Azeroth. If you remember the Prophet's Lesson short story, the Exodar was repaired and the draenei had to decide whether or not they were going to remain on Azeroth or head out into the cosmos again. Ultimately they chose to remain, to prepare for the war between light and darkness that Velen foresees, but it was the big issue taking up most of their time.

However, I do think that it's kind of silly that we have blood elves, goblins, even worgen integrated more into the world than the draenei are. There's a draenei serving alongside the Kirin Tor forces (he gives quests in the Za'Tual area) but he doesn't even appear to be a mage. And yes, there's a draenei in the SI:7 forces that came to Pandaria, but I still feel like we could do with some more draenei out and involved in the world.

Hopefully the next expansion will give draenei some screen time. At present I'm seeing so many high elves I'm starting to wonder why they aren't a playable Alliance race.

The Queue: I work harder at DPS than I ever did as a tank

The Queue I work harder at DPS than I ever did as a tank
Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Matthew Rossi will be your host today.

This isn't meant to imply that one is harder, or a better benchmark of skill, or what have you. It's simply a personal realization based on thinking back on the past years of World of Warcraft and the changing roles I've played.

People who've read the site know that I tend to fall into certain patterns - I start an expansion tanking, switch to DPS for a big chunk and then, somehow, I end up tanking again. I did this in classic WoW, where I played as a DPS as I leveled until about level 40, then tanked until Four Horsemen in Naxx 40. Cut to Burning Crusade, and while I tried to level as a tank, the rage problems and lack of AoE threat meant that I went DPS for a while, only to end up tanking post Karazhan as bosses began to hit harder and the ranks of tanks willing to endure it thinned out. Wrath of the Lich King I tanked for the same guild, left and ended up a DPS for most of Naxx 25 and Ulduar, only to switch to tanking in Trial of the Crusader and stay there until Arthas was dead. Cataclysm? I tanked 10 man Tier 11 raids, switch to DPS in 25 man Firelands and stayed there for most of the expansion only to switch back to tanking for Dragon Soul. And finally there's Mists of Pandaria, where I began as a draenei tank, switched back to a pandaren DPS warrior, went through my orc phase, DPS'd as a tauren for a while and am now a worgen arms warrior.

Last week Adam wrote a piece about how tanking changes you as a player. What's interesting to me is how much I have to unlearn from tanking. There's a DPS mindset, where you learn to watch for spell effects, learn to avoid damage if at all possible (rather than learning how to survive it) and to Always Be Attacking, to constantly get as much activity translated into damage on whatever it is you need to be damaging. Tanking comes second nature to me. I could go tank right now and be fine. DPS requires much more attention from me, it's more demanding and while I'm competent at it, it's always something i have to consciously work at. It's made me a better tank because it's challenged my preconceptions. DPS isn't easy. Especially not being good DPS. There's a ton of work that goes into it.

I just wanted to say that, as someone who has tanked and DPS'd, I admire really skilled DPS players.

Adam ‏(@Adamdm_) asks on Twitter:

Saur-priests say saurok were created by mogu, but they mention a belief they evolved from devilsaurs. Which is more likely?

We have plenty of evidence that the mogu meddled in saurok evolution. Between the Dagger in the Dark scenario, Primordius' existence in Throne of Thunder, Progenitus on the island proper, archaeology in the game, we know the mogu made the saurok to serve as soldiers. What we don't really know for sure is what, exactly, they made the saurok from. There's no dinosaurs on mainland Pandaria, but there's plenty of them on the Isle of Giants to the north, and there's no reason the mogu couldn't have included a few in their experiments to make the saurok.

The Queue: Sundog

The Queue
Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mike Sacco will be your host today.

It's Sundog! Sleep in! Be happy!

DragonBotherer asked:

Speaking of cloud serpents, I wonder what their overall role in Pandaria is? They must also be Titan creations, given that the Engine of Nalak'sha has a starry serpent interface thing, and there are carvings of them in the center of the Titanic "will of the emperor" construct machine, but they seem to be somewhat elemental in nature with the various "Storm" themed ones. Any theories?

Cloud serpents appear to be natural and native to Pandaria, though much like the rest of Azeroth's great serpents, they can be magically infused (or altered). For example, thundering cloud serpents existed before Lei Shen harnessed the titanic energy in the Throne of Thunder. As for Elegon, it's possible that the mogu, who used the Engine of Nalak'Sha for their own purposes, also repurposed the interface (read: elegon) into something familiar -- like a cloud serpent. It's also possible that, like the mogu, the cloud serpents are titanic creations. We won't know until Blizzard says so.

She said I could have one peanut butter square, but only after they cooled.

Richard6 asked:

Now that there are solo scenarios implemented in the game that seem to work very well, what are the chances we will see a kind of raiding "tutorial" scenario, where you choose your role (tank heal or dps)and undergo challenges that push you to your limits. There could be certain levels like easy, medium, hard, etc. and completing them could give an achievement to let people know you ARE qualified to raid even though you haven't done a particular dungeon. Or make it a pre-requisite to LFR <_<

Proving Grounds, which Zarhym assures us are still on the way, are meant to fill that particular mastering-your-class tutorial role.

The Queue A most demanding corpse
Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Anne Stickney (@Shadesogrey) slices, and dices, and has been known to julienne.

All I can say about the above screenshot is that it was a really weird night.

sejastwd asked:

So if the mogu can animate/reanimate stone and what-not, how much of a stretch would it be to use that kind of ability to bring back Magni?

Oddly enough, not that much -- although it's unclear at this point whether the mogu stumbled upon this on their own, used Titan technology, or managed to figure out something involving the Sha. If it's Titan technology, perhaps we'll see Magni back sooner rather than later -- one can always hope, right?

Celedrian asked:

Should the Guild Greeter addon be banned?

Oh boy.

The Queue: Call me "mashup"

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mike Sacco will be your host today.

This mashup is...insane. I love it so much. Help.

Red asked:

What is Blizzard's reasoning for locking Raid Finder for the first week of the patch? I can't think of a single good one; in fact, I think it was a terrible idea. Please enlighten me.

As I understand it, it's to give a sense of accomplishment to the people who manage to take out bosses the first week. This way the "normal" raiders get the feeling of (temporary) exclusivity for their kills. This was something that was complained about heavily when the feature was first implemented.

freshke33 asked:

Wrathion says that to his knowledge, he is the last black dragon alive. Obviously disregarding the common black dragonflight mobs, what about the ambassador of the black dragonflight in wyrmrest temple? Is it because the area has not "advanced" to MoP or is Wrathion overlooking a dragon?

You kill Nalice as part of the Fangs of the Father questline. She's dead in the current timeline (which Northrend is not a part of).

ash.w.miller asked:

Have bags outlived their usefulness? Just like reagents and ammo, I think its time they get removed from the game entirely. I hope Blizzard uses the next expansion to retool the inventory system and utilize their new UI methods (ex. mounts and pets).

I like how The Secret World handles inventory and I wish WoW did it the same way. You have an expandable inventory and you can create as many custom bags as you want to help you sort your stuff. If you run out of room you can just pay an in-game currency premium and give yourself some more. There are mods that do half of this already but it'd be nice if Blizzard just went all the way with it.

There are obviously other considerations -- the effect on tailoring, for example, or the amount of database traffic Blizzard can handle (which prevents us from having unlimited bag space).
