WoW Insider has the latest on the Mists of Pandaria!

Wrath of the Lich King introduces 18 new factions at the time of release.  These factions contain goods that will make any player drool; from head and shoulder enchants, to epic fishing poles, to a gigantic red dragon that you can fly around on.  These factions will keep you more than busy.

Start with our overview of Wrath factions and reputations, then read below for more details on each.

Alliance Vanguard

The Alliance Vanguard are forces of the Alliance out in the cold continent of Northrend.  The Vanguard encompasses four factions in total: Explorers’ League, Frostborn, Silver Covenant, and Valiance Expedition.  Each time you do a quest that earns reputation for one of those four factions, half of the reputation earned counts towards both the individual faction and the Alliance Vanguard.  For example, if you do a quest that gives 500 reputation for the Frostborn, you’ll also earn 250 reputation for the Alliance Vanguard and 500 for the Frostborn.
